A Legal Disclaimer
1. Definitions
“Lessor” refers to Almaz Prestige Auto, operating in Boisbriand, Québec.
“Lessee” refers to the individual or business entering into this lease agreement.
“Vehicle” means the automobile being leased pursuant to this agreement.
“Lease Term” refers to the contractual period of the lease.
2. Eligibility
To lease a vehicle, the Lessee must:

Be at least 18 years old.

Provide valid government-issued identification.
-
Provide proof of residence in Québec.
-
Provide valid auto insurance meeting Québec minimum coverage (see Section 6).
-
Pass any applicable credit or financial verification performed by the Lessor or its financing partners.
The Lessor reserves the right to approve or decline any application.
3. Lease Term & Mileage
3.1 Lease Duration
The Lease Term, including start and end dates, will be specified in the lease contract.
3.2 Mileage Allowance
The Vehicle comes with an annual mileage allowance of [Depends on Contact] km/year, unless otherwise stated. Exceeding the allowance results in an additional fee of $0.25 per km.
3.3 Early Termination
Early termination may result in fees, penalties, or remaining lease obligations as outlined in the individual lease contract, in accordance with Québec law.
4. Payments
4.1 Monthly Payments
The Lessee agrees to pay the monthly lease amount specified in the Lease Agreement. Payments must be made on or before the due date.
4.2 Late Payments
Late payments may incur additional charges. The Lessor may charge interest at the maximum rate allowed under Québec law.
4.3 Security Deposit (If Applicable)
A refundable security deposit may be required. It will be returned at the end of the Lease Term, subject to inspection of the Vehicle and any applicable deductions.
5. Condition, Use & Maintenance
5.1 Vehicle Condition
The Vehicle is delivered in good working condition. Any pre-existing defects will be documented during the inspection.
5.2 Permitted Use
The Vehicle must only be used:

For personal or business purposes as allowed under Québec law
-
In accordance with manufacturer guidelines
-
Within Canada and the U.S. unless written permission is provided
Use for ride-sharing, renting, racing, towing, or commercial delivery is prohibited without written authorization.
5.3 Maintenance
The Lessee must:
-
Follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule
-
Keep the Vehicle clean and in good condition
-
Pay for all maintenance, repairs, and tires not covered by warranty
Failure to maintain the Vehicle may result in charges at lease-end.
6. Insurance Requirements
The Lessee must maintain valid auto insurance throughout the Lease Term, including:

Civil liability (public liability) coverage of at least $1,000,000, as required in Québec
-
Collision and comprehensive coverage listing the Lessor as loss payee
Proof of insurance must be provided before Vehicle delivery and updated upon renewal.
7. Registration & Taxes
All registration fees, transportation costs, duties, and applicable taxes (GST/QST) must be paid by the Lessee unless otherwise stated.
8. Loss, Theft, or Damage
In case of accident, theft, or damage to the Vehicle:

The Lessee must notify the Lessor immediately

A police report must be filed when applicable
-
Insurance claims must be processed without delay
The Lessee remains financially responsible for any deductible and any amount not covered by insurance.
9. Modifications
The Lessee may not modify, alter, or install accessories to the Vehicle without prior written approval. Unauthorized modifications must be removed at the Lessee's expense before return.
10. Vehicle Return (End of Lease)
Upon the end of the Lease Term, the Lessee must return the Vehicle to the Lessor in:

Good mechanical condition

With all keys, accessories, manuals, and documents
-
Free of excessive wear, cosmetic damage, or missing parts
The Lessor will conduct a final inspection. Any excess damage, mileage, or unpaid fees will be billed to the Lessee.
11. Default
The Lessor may terminate the lease and repossess the Vehicle if the Lessee:

Fails to make payments
-
Provides false or misleading information
-
Damages or misuses the Vehicle
-
Violates insurance or maintenance obligations
All remedies will comply with the Civil Code of Québec and applicable consumer protection laws.
12. Privacy & Personal Information
The Lessor may collect and use the Lessee’s personal information for the purposes of:

Lease administration
-
Credit verification
-
Insurance requirements
-
Legal compliance
Personal information is handled according to Québec privacy legislation.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, with jurisdiction in the district of Terrebonne, serving Boisbriand.
14. Amendments
The Lessor reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted or provided to the Lessee prior to taking effect, consistent with Québec consumer protection laws.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with the individual Lease Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the Lessor and the Lessee. No verbal statements or additional promises are binding unless confirmed in writing.
